By Ray Gano If you have not noticed, we are in the middle of a war. I am not talking about a war being waged against terrorism or Islam. I am talking about a war for the very souls of the people. I am talking about how our enemy the devil is working hard to dilute and destroy the message of the Gospel. He is doing this through many means, but primarily it is we as Christians who are helping and aiding him in this battle. Where have all the Christian Warriors gone? Why have we given up fighting the good fight? Scripture says…
But we have forgotten this. We have forgotten the fight that we are called to fight. Over and over again the Christian walk is equaled to the soldier in battle. We must strive to push on and charge the gates of Hell. I have been sickened by the lengths we as Christians have gone to; all in the name of God to appease the world and to become "relevant" to the world. In Cologne Germany we now have an Erotic Church with dancers, loosely clad women, and all the other trappings. Needless to say there was a line down the block to get in and attend their service. But hey, that is nothing compared to all the church services dealing with sex. In every major city, there is some purpose driven church doing "40 days of sex & marriage." In fact, Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Chandler, AZ is hopping back on this tired old band wagon. The website put up by Cornerstone, MyLameSex.com actually promises that God will help people improve their lame sex lives. Seriously, has Jesus now become the Dr. Ruth of religious leaders? If people's sex lives don't improve with the help of Jesus can folks at Cornerstone get there tithe money back? Here's the quote from the site:
Churches here in America are packing them in so that the many can “experience” what it means to be addicted to porn. Folks, I do not need to experience porn to know that it is wrong, much like I don’t have to experience heroin to know what the junkie feels like. BUT HEY… they say they are doing it all for God. No longer is the blood of Christ being taught today No longer are we hearing that we are sinners in need of a savior. Instead we hear that to be a good Christian we must find our purpose, feed the hungry, clothe the poor, find a cure for aids, stop global warming, and yes the newest goal, help establish a Palestinian state. I can go on and on, but you get the message. Folks, we do not need gimmicks, entertainment, lies and cover ups to share the gospel. The power is in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ alone.
That is the power. That Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES. The Bible is consistent in its presentation of what is required to be saved. We do not need the extra gimmicks and such that has become so popular in today’s world. There is only one requirement, BELIEVING.
In both cases, Paul is showing us that both in the old and new testament the requirement for salvation is the same, simple faith.
We are called to believe upon Him, Christ Jesus. We are called to turn from our wicked ways, go and sin no more. Now this is not a happy go lucky, I’ve got my fire insurance belief. Jesus said in John
When we are one of His, it is a life changing, I will abandon all, I will pick up my cross and follow Him. It is our reasonable service. He gave His all for us, we are called to give our all to Him.
Sad thing is that there are many who claim the title, but the belief is not there. Problem is that there are many out there who think they are Christians but in reality, are not. They have been sold down a false path because they have bought into a diluted “religious” Jesus and not the Jesus of the Bible. When we replace the simplicity of believing and trusting with any other condition or combination of conditions, our witness becomes powerless. So if you say that you need Christ plus anything, you have diluted the Gospel. For example when you say that you need Christ plus: · Baptism – you have diluted the gospel · Confirmation – you have diluted the gospel · The Sacraments – you have diluted the gospel · Good Works – you have diluted the gospel · Church Membership - you have diluted the gospel In today’s world it seems that all roads lead to Heaven. This is a huge mistake. Here is what Jesus said himself…
That seems pretty clear to me, but we live in a pluralistic world. In the pluralistic church, all religions offer truth, and Jesus is just one of these truths. We also live in an all inclusive world where anyone can be a Christian. So if you have…
If you stand on any of these, you have compromised the truth and have made the gospel powerless. Jesus said I am THE Way, THE Truth and THE Life, no man cometh to the father except by Him. Who Do You Serve? Jesus stated the following…
If you do not have Christ in your life, you will spend eternity in hell. This is a fact. It does not matter if you believe this or not, it is the truth spoken by Jesus himself. If your name is not written in the Lambs Book of Life you will go to hell for what you have not done and that is accepting Christ as your personal savior. To be placed in the Lamb Book of Life, you need to turn your life completely over to Him. Having “head” knowledge or “just believing in Christ” is not the same as having “heart” knowledge with Christ living in your heart. We know that even the devils believe in Him, where are they spending eternity?
We work hard at Prophezine to show that Bible Prophecy is coming to pass. Because of this fact, the Bible is true. Since the Bible is the true and inerrant word of God, there is a heaven and there is a hell. If you claim the title of “Christian” then take account of yourself this day. Many claim the title, but we read in God’s Word that the title does not get you into heaven.
Who you serve will determine where you will spend eternity. If you are not serving Christ and a true child of God, then you are serving Satan and a child of the enemy. If you are not 100% sure, then take account of yourself, your very life depends upon it.
